Five Elements Acupuncture, is a traditional approach to acupuncture that originated in ancient Chinese medicine. It is based on the theory that the human body is composed of and influenced by five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element represents certain qualities, seasons, colors, emotions, and organs within the body. The elements are interconnected and follow a specific cycle of generation and control. The goal of Five Elements Acupuncture is to restore balance and harmony among the elements within an individual, as imbalances are believed to cause disease and disharmony.
Prior to the treatment
Wear comfortable clothing, Make sure you are not too full or too staving
During the treatment
During a Five Elements Acupuncture session, the practitioner will assess your overall health, including physical symptoms, emotional well-being, and your personal history. They will then select specific acupuncture points to address the imbalances within the five elements. Thin needles are inserted into these points, and you may experience sensations like tingling, warmth, or a dull ache during the treatment.
